The Peak Surcharge that will apply to any shipment originating from China Mainland or Hong Kong SAR to the U.S. will apply from April 5, 2020 until further notice for the Service Levels and Peak Periods set forth in the link below. The Peak Surcharge for shipments to the U.S. will be applied as a rate per pound based upon the billable weight of the shipment.

FedEx announced today they are suspending guaranteed service refunds (money back guarantees) for FedEx Express, Ground, FedEx Freight, and FedEx Office services effective immediately. The company announced the suspension is indefinite and due to the impact COVID-19 is having on their work.

CARRIER NOTIFICATION: DHL suspends International Service Guarantee refunds.

Effective April 1, 2020, the International Service Guarantee will no longer be available. As such, a Service Guarantee refund or credit for Express Worldwide shipments tendered after March 31, 2020 will not be issued. The Money Back Guarantee for Express 9:00, 10:30 and 12:00 shipments will continue to apply.

DHL Global Forwarding has invoked force majeure on all ocean and air freight contracts due to the unforeseen impacts of the global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Force majeure is declared when unforeseeable circumstances arise that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract. The provider must continue to prove that all reasonable attempts are made at providing an acceptable standard of service and DHL has stated that this will be their top priority.
