enVista Shares Industry Expertise During Educational Sessions at ProMat 2017

enVista CEO Jim Barnes will present on both Order Management 101 and differentiating between supply chain execution

Indianapolis -- —

enVista, a supply chain consulting firm delivering supply chain strategy, facility design and build, and systems integration expertise, today announces it will share supply chain industry insights during two presentations at ProMat 2017, a conference that brings together leading manufacturing, distribution and supply chain professionals. enVista President and CEO Jim Barnes will present two educational sessions during the show, which takes place April 3 – 6 in Chicago.

WMS vs. WCS vs. WES

  • Monday, April 3 (2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
  • Description: This session will help supply chain leaders determine where and how warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and warehouse execution systems (WES) fit into a distribution strategy.

OMS 101: Why Order Management Is Key to Optimal Omni-Channel Execution and Fulfillment

  • Tuesday, April 4 (10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.)
  • Description: This presentation explains the enabling technology required to meet evolving omni-channel customer demands and fulfillment options for retailers, distributors, wholesalers and 3PLs alike. The session will focus primarily on why Order Management Systems (OMS) are critical to optimally orchestrate and fulfill omni-channel orders.

“The lines have become blurred between some of the most common supply chain execution systems – WMS, WCS and WES – making it difficult to determine the best solution approach. I look forward to helping ProMat attendees pinpoint the differences between systems and determine which system, or combination of systems, will best meet their unique needs,” said Barnes.

“In my second session, I’ll discuss the importance of an OMS in providing a seamless user experience across channels to drive unified commerce. Attendees will learn how an OMS functions and delivers enterprise inventory visibility; enables omni-channel fulfillment (including ship from store; ship from vendor; and buy online, pickup in store); and improves sales, customer engagement and brand loyalty.”

enVista will also exhibit at ProMat. Consultants from enVista’s supply chain solutions and facility design build practices will be on hand to help ProMat attendees determine an optimal supply chain strategy and solutions for their business challenges.
