| Transportation Consulting & Services Outsourced Freight Management: Freight Audit /Accounting and Payment (FAP)
The Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) stage significantly reduces client costs by eliminating overpayment. This stage also gives clients the ability to:
- Receive carrier invoices electronically via EDI 210, invoice XML, or a carrier web portal, or receive paper invoices if needed, as well as reconcile planned and invoiced dollars
- Allocate transportation charges to customer GL codes, manage claims, and give cost / payment files to Accounts Payable
- Compare invoices to customer moves, whether planned and executed by enVista or not (note: enVista can provide FAP on a stand-alone basis, independent of broader freight management services)
- Audit invoices against customer load files and contract rates
- Typically provides AP information to clients' accounting systems, and clients pay carriers
- enVista can also manage OS&D claims for clients
