to Develop New Strategic Facility Design at Project will Support Walmart Compliance Initiative INDIANAPOLIS, May 21, 2007--Bradshaw International Inc. has partnered with enVista to develop and implement a strategic facility design to support Bradshaw’s compliance with Wal-Mart’s Direct Store Delivery Consolidation (DSDC) Program initiative. enVista’s industrial engineering and WMS teams will work in conjunction with Bradshaw’s operations and technology staff and material handling integrator to produce a balanced cost effective design that will meet the DSDC requirements at their two warehouse facilities spanning over 700,000 square feet. enVista’s combined experience with retail distribution and material handling design methods and knowledge of WMS will complement the Bradshaw team in designing and implementing the solution, while yielding a design that leverages the capabilities of the company’s current WMS solution. enVista will utilize a LEAN distribution design approach with a focus on eliminating waste. With the new design, Bradshaw International will be able to meet the Wal-Mart DSDC requirements with high accuracy and the lowest possible labor costs. Bradshaw will successfully transition from a full-case to DC shipping model to a mixed carton pick-pack operation that will support Wal-Mart’s 3410 stores. “Our experience with enVista as a partner has been excellent. Their expertise and professionalism has been vital throughout the project,” said Brian Foster, Director of IT. “We are confident enVista will deliver a successful design that will meet our specific requirements.” Bradshaw anticipates a significant increase in their volume with Walmart over the next two years, along with changes to their freight contracts to streamline and maximize their shipping dollars.
