enVista Announces Enhanced Functionality with myShipINFO™ 2004R1

Solution Provides Increased Shipment Visibility and Carrier Management Tools

LOS ANGELES – February 27, 2004 – enVista, a leading provider of logistics cost management solutions, today announced the availability of myShipINFO™ 2004R1. The new release provides enhanced functionality in the areas of shipment visibility and carrier management and demonstrates enVista’s commitment to delivering industry-leading transportation cost management solutions.

myShipINFO™ is a transportation tool that provides shippers with visibility to key shipment data by retrieving package track and trace status notifications from their carriers’ web portal and warehousing this data to provide the shipper with reporting capabilities on late and lost packages as well as exception shipments. The tool also provides transportation executives with increased visibility to key transportation metrics and carrier performance, enabling them to maximize efficiencies within their transportation department.

enVista continues to add functionality to myShipINFO™ to support clients across industries such as apparel, footwear, third party logistics, retail, industrial wholesale, high-tech and consumer goods. The new functionality in the release 2004 R1 of myShipINFO™ includes the following:

  • Carrier Contract Management – allows for the loading of carrier contracts to provide contract incentive comparison and ongoing profile management.
  • Parcel Auditing – enables the auditing of UPS and FedEx parcel invoices against the carrier’s contract and provides the user with the ability to run all “closed” invoices and enter the check amount and GL account code on to an electronic form, prior to committing the invoice as paid.
  • Automated GSR Filing for FedEx – provides electronic submittal of packages qualifying for guaranteed service refunds and retrieves the reason code and status. This functionality matches up the tracking number of late packages with the invoice number and automatically files the GSR. A GSR summary report is also generated to provide visibility to refunded packages and packages where the GSR request has been declined.
  • Enhanced User Interface – provides the user with the ability to move throughout the application from one dashboard while providing improvements in ease of use.
