Network Technician - Appnuity

Responsibilities: The Network Technician will perform server installations, including hardware configuration, software installation, backup configuration, transferring data, and physical installation of server at customer sites. The Network Technician will also work with customers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to software and hardware while learning continuously from the new experiences encountered. The Network Technician must be able to research issues that affect more than one person or client and write knowledge base articles to document accomplishment, once a precise solution has been devised. The nature of the job requires the Network Technician to follow an ordered and structured routine, but maintain a flexible approach to dynamic situations.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years related work experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, controlling technical discussions and delivering technical presentations at appropriate levels to peers and customers.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues on the phone, in person, and via remote access.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and manage service requests, assign service requests to other team members and handle escalations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server configurations.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and operation of firewalls and switches.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows desktop configuration.
  • Familiarity with Citrix and VMware administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that convey the impact of your work on your customer's work flow and negotiate to minimize them/
  • Ability to enhance organizational flexibility by volunteering to backup the Help Desk Technician when the situation demands it.
  • A Positive, light hearted, optimistic view about life and work.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
